What is Hummus? It is a creamy, thick spread made primarily from mashed chickpeas and a few other
healthy ingredients that has become popular worldwide over the past couple of decades. It has long
been enjoyed in Middle Eastern and North African countries and today in commonly eaten across
North America and Europe, too. In fact, hummus is one of the most widely consumed Middle Eastern
foods worldwide today.
The world celebrates a World Hummus Day on the 13 th of May every year. To commemorate this day
AL Maeda Restaurant at DoubleTree Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach has added an array of mouth
watering Hummus dishes to its Iftar menu. They are calling it the Hummus Festival. The selection
includes delectable hummus dishes like the Hummus Pistachio, Hummus Beiruti and 6 other variants of
hummus crafted carefully by the head chef. Our personal favourite was the Blueberry Hummus.
The Iftar menu is priced at AED 139 during the holy month of Ramadan and starts at 7pm until 10pm.
The restaurant is vibrant and bursting with kids and families enjoying a plethora of Lebanese and
Arabic delicacies. The award winning restaurant is the perfect place for a great selection of hummus to
celebrate this simple yet delightful dish with your friends and family.
Al Maeda Restaurant is located at DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach, The Walk, Dubai
Marina. They take reservations at +971(0)55 166 8092 and their website
http://dubaijumeirahbeach.doubletree.com.
We highly recommend prior bookings as the place is packed even on weekdays.
