Deira City Centre is one of the oldest shopping malls of Dubai and the flagship mall of Majid Al Futtaim Properties. Opened back in 1995, it is located in the older part of the city on cross roads between Deira, Bur Dubai, Sharjah and the Airport. Being at the fronts of such an easily accessible location along with bus stops and metro stations at its door step, it has made itself the premier shopping destination for most of old Dubai.

Deira City Centre or DCC, as how the residents like to call it, is a known shopping, entertainment and leisure complex with 2 levels. It houses around 370 shops for all your shopping needs and wants with brands such as Springfield, Iconic, Debenhams, Carrefour, Paris Gallery, Pull & Bear, Zara, Virgin Megastore, Sharaf DG, Samsung, Rolex and so much more. Along with shopping, Deira City Centre also provides fun entertainment services for kids and adults alike in the form of Magic Planet and Vox Cinemas for all your movie going needs.

Of course, after all the shopping and the fun activities, one gets hungry. Lucky for you, Deira City Centre excels in the dining department. From fast food joints (such as KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, Just Falafel, Al Farooj Fresh and the likes) and Cafes (such as Starbucks, Caribou Coffee, Costa Coffee and the likes) to proper dine-in restaurants (such as P.F. Chang’s, Gazebo, TGI Friday’s, Uno Chicago Grill, Texas Roadhouse and the likes) as well as sweet delights (such as Cinnabon, Cold Stone Creamery, Baskin Robbins, Haagen Dazs and more), it has something for everyone.

Along with the shopping, entertainment and dining, Deira City Centre is also connected with not 1 but 3 hotels, namely City Centre Hotel and Residence (managed by Pullman), Novotel City Centre Deira and Ibis City Centre Deira. So if you’re planning on staying in Dubai for a while and need a place closer to the city, there is nothing better than these luxurious hotels.

Deira City Centre has been a part of Dubai for as long as one can remember and it has grown considerably ever since. Even after so many new malls and destinations have opened up, it still remains as a local favorite. It may not have any fancy attractions such as Dubai Mall’s Dancing Fountains or Mall of the Emirates’ Ski Dubai, but what it does have is a soul and the hustle and bustle of people walking through it every day.
